How to Destroy Bloom Cankers
The only way to destroy Bloom Cankers is to get the Sonic Resonator and the Feedback Resonator. Using these items on the Bloom Cankers will help awaken the Angel Combs and ease the corruption of the ocean. First off, let’s start by getting the Sonic Resonator.
How to Get Sonic Resonator
The easiest way to find the two required Sonic Resonator fragments is to head north-northwest of the Lifepod. Swim 370 – 420 degrees north to northwest at 41 – 50 meters depth towards the Old Habitat. Once inside, check the shelf and the floor to find the Sonic Resonator fragments. After that, head over to your Fabricator and craft the Sonic Resonator using the following materials.
- Basic Battery x1
- Titanium Ingot x2
- Lead Lead x2
- Wiring Kit x1
How to Get Feedback Resonator
For the Feedback Resonator fragments, you need to head over to the Root Canyon Biome. To get here, travel east from the Lifepod towards the alien power plant. From there, dive down to the depths of 417 meters until you find an Angel Comb. From the Angel Comb, travel 30 degrees northeast.
Keep going until you find a yellow pool. Dive a bit deeper to find a Feedback Resonator fragment. Then, turn north to northeast and look up to find a pink light on the pillar. Follow the pink light to find a table with the second Feedback Resonator fragment. After unlocking the blueprint, you will need the following materials to craft the Feedback Resonator at the Fabricator:
- Sonic Resonator x1
- Enameled Glass x2
- Conduit Crystal x2
- Strontium x2
How to Use the Sonic and Feedback Resonators
Now that you have the Sonic Resonator or its advanced form, the Feedback Resonator, you can go ahead and track down Angel Combs infected with Bloom Cankers. One such Angel Comb will help you get the Heat Tolerance Adaptation, and you can find it in the following location:
- Travel 200 – 240 degrees north-northwest of the Lifepod to find the Adult Angel Comb. It is found at a depth of 240 meters.
- Then, travel to the Spider Dome POI at 240 degrees southwest of the Lifepod to find a Juvenile Angel Comb.
- The second Juvenile Angel Comb is located 240 degrees north-northwest of the Lifepod, or 140 degrees from the Adult Angel Comb.
Upon finding the juvenile Angel Combs, defeat all the enemies around it first. After that, travel along the tentacles leading from one Angel Comb to the other to discover Bloom Cankers and destroy them using the Resonators. Once destroyed, the adult Angel Comb will open up and hand over the Heat Tolerance adaptation.
