Key Points
- The Heng Blade offers 4 inner ways.
- Two of the inner ways are given in the in-game mail.
- The Throatpiercing Art and Wildfire Surge inner ways require you to defeat a particular boss in Sparrow Sutra Hall.
If you wish to use the new Heng Blade in Where Winds Meet, then you need to work on obtaining the inner ways for the weapon as well. Luckily, you will get two inner ways by default, but to find the other two is a bit of a challenge. You need to seek out a particular boss and deal with that before you get your hands on the two unique inner ways.

How to Get the Heng Blade Inner Ways
If you haven’t unlocked the Heng Blade martial arts yet, you will get it if you have obtained either the Snowparting Blade or the Phalanxbane Blade for the Stone Split Strength path. After unlocking it, check your in-game mail to receive two default inner ways: the Frostclad Knight and Steadfast Devotion. But to get the Throatpiercing Art and Wildfire Surge inner ways, you need to check a unique location first.

I stumbled across these two inner ways while exploring Sparrow Sutra Hall. This is a new area within the Hexi Liangzhou Town’s western section. Once inside, you will get the objective to defeat 18 Utuks within the hall. You will encounter them as soon as you set foot here. Once you defeat the couple of Utuks here, take the wind tunnel upwards to find more of them. Defeat them too, then take the wind tunnel further up to find more enemies.
Keep going up and repeating this process until you reach the very top of the mountain, where you will find the last set of enemies to defeat. Once you do that, a portal will appear. Enter the portal to find the Boss Utuk Vanguard. I did not have a hard time defeating this boss, as long as you use your best skills and weapons to tear it down.
After clearing the area, investigate the shelves nearby to get the Throatpiercing Art inner way. Walk a bit further to the right and check out the rocks to the right beside the statue to find the Wildfire Surge inner way.
Throat Piercing Art Explained
When a Light Attack and Heavy Attack varied combos deal damage, you will get Throat Piercing for 8 seconds. You will also ignore 2 points of the chosen target’s physical resistance when dealing direct damage. This will also increase your CRIT damage by 2%. Stacks up to 3 times.
Wildfire Surge Explained
Dealing damage is increased by 4% while in Tenacity. This increases 1% per enemy available within a 3-meter radius, which also gives you an additional 3%.
