Key Points
- Armor dyeing in Crimson Desert requires visiting specific dyehouses, each offering unique colors and multiple shades.
- While dyes can be crafted, you still need a dyehouse to apply them.
- Unlocking Oliver the Dyer provides a convenient way to access exclusive dyes and reduces repeated travel.
Customization is a must-needed skill in every game. But unlike other games, Crimson Desert does not make this task easy for you. Even the simple process of changing outfit colors is tied to a mini exploration quest. But don’t worry, as in this guide, we have listed all the locations for color dyes and also how you can change outfit colors.
How to Dye Armor in Crimson Desert

If you want to change the color of your armor, you need to learn how to apply dyes. Currently, you can obtain dyes by either crafting them or by purchasing dye bottles.
To craft a dye, you need to mix different Medicinal Herbs with different beetle species in a cauldron to obtain different colors. Alternatively, new dyes can be obtained by visiting various dyehouses. This second method is the most effective because even if you craft a dye, you would have to travel to a dyehouse to apply it to your armor.
Each dyehouse sells only one type of color in different shades. So, to make your armor in different colors, you need to travel to various locations. Thankfully, the process of applying dye is fairly easy once you reach the dyehouse.
