Crimson Desert – How To Enter the Dawn Cave

The Dawn Cave is one of those locations in Crimson Desert’s massive continent of Pywel that you’ll randomly encounter. It’s that classic cliche of a cave hidden behind a waterfall, but there’s a catch. Typically, you’d be able to walk through the water and access the goodies inside, but that’s not the case. You need to cut through the water, literally, with an early-game Blue skill.

How to Enter the Dawn Cave

The Dawn Cave is located west of Vellua village, directly north of the Mountain of Frozen Souls in the southern part of Hernand, as shown in the image above. I stumbled upon this Cave exploring Southern Hernand, specifically around the Grace Estate, but the funny thing is, there’s no clear entrance to it.

There’s a waterfall blocking the Dawn Cave’s entrance, and in most cases, you’d just walk through the water flow and have access to the cave’s interior. However, this is Crimson Desert, and the locations in this game hide more than meets the eye. The easiest way to enter this Cave is by using the Stab skill from the elevated platform on the left.

You’ll need your Sword and Shield for this one. The Stab skill is one of the very first Blue skills you’ll unlock in Crimson Desert, so rest assured, you’ll have this by the time you reach Southern Hernand. From the left side, stand near the waterfall and use the Stab skill to enter the Dawn Cave. Here’s how you perform this skill on each platform:

• PC: Shift + Right Click
• PlayStation: R1 + Triangle
• Xbox: RB + Y

You need to be as close to the waterfall as physically possible; otherwise, the current will block you from entering the Cave. Stick to the leftmost side when climbing the elevation, particularly on the side where greenery dominates. From there, stand near the waterfall and use the Stab skill to cut through the water current, and head straight inside the Dawn Cave.

If you’re not using a Sword & Shield, ensure that you equip them before travelling to this location, whether by mount or by gliding. Now that you’re inside the Dawn Cave, walk straight ahead and follow the path to find a couple of Treasure Chests.

It’s easier said than done, since you must angle your Stab correctly to enter the Cave. However, it will take you a handful of tries before you’re relishing in the Treasure Chests that lie ahead. Lastly, exiting the Cave requires the same strategy. Stick to the right and use the Stab skill once again to reach the exterior in Crimson Desert.
