Rival Cartel update in Schedule 1 adds Benzies’ Family Cartel, a vicious crime family hell-bent on capturing the entire market. Once you move on to Westville, they will start harassing you, trying to make a deal with them. Accept or refuse, this deal comes with some serious consequences.
Schedule 1 – Accept or Refuse To Work with the Cartel Explained

Once you acquire all the customers in Northtown and unlock Westville, you will start receiving text messages from an unknown number. The texts will ask you to meet up with the head of Benzies’ Cartel in a Black SUV parked in the Taco Ticklers parking lot in the Docks region.
Once you go there, Thomas Benzies will ask you to make a truce. He expects you to start working for him and share half of your profits with him. You will also be asked to meet a weekly product delivery quota. In return, he guarantees safety for you and your dealers.
Accept
If you accept Thomas’s deal in Schedule 1, you will be joining the cartel. This will lead to a reduction in your sales profit. The Benzies’ family will force you to sell product in the Westville and Northtown territories. Furthermore, they will also take half of your profits away.
This might be a great initial option as it will effectively put you in the cartel’s good books. They won’t come after you or your dealers. While the decreased profit stings initially, it’s a great way to spot out all of the Thomas Benizes’ dealer network.
Refuse
If you refuse Thomas’s deal in Schedule 1, you will begin to be harassed by the Cartel. You will frequently get text messages from your dealers that they’ve been robbed or attacked by the Cartel members.
Some of your dealers might be able to defend themselves, but it’s a guarantee that your network will suffer substantial losses. This will keep happening until you join the Cartel, now at even a lower position of power, while they keep draining you of your money and product.
Making a Choice
Ultimately, the battle with Benzies’ Cartel is inevitable. But you get to decide how you want to approach the situation. Accepting the deal can buy you some time. I know that your profits will initially suffer, but it’s a much safer and less damaging option in the long run. If you flat-out refuse the deal, you can still win back the territory and defeat the Cartel. However, the road will be tougher and more blood-soaked.
FAQs
Should I accept or refuse Thomas’s deal?
This completely depends on you. If you are willing to put up a nasty fight right from the get-go, refuse the deal. The cartel will start hunting you down immediately. However, I recommend that you accept the deal initially and then break it off once you have enough resources and firepower. This will give you time to reduce the influence of the Benzies cartel without suffering too much. If you ask me, the initial half-profits are much preferable to outright bloodshed (at your expense).
How can I defeat Benzies’ Cartel if I accept the deal?
Accepting the deal lets you scope out their network, increase your firepower, and take out their dealers quietly. Once you feel confident enough, simply stop making the deliveries. After a couple of days of no deliveries, the Cartel will declare you an enemy. This will start an influence war, which you can win by taking out Thomas’s vast network of dealers, and unlocking Hyland Manor will mark your complete victory over the cartel.
What happens if I accept the deal and don’t deliver the product?
Accepting the deal with Thomas tasks you with product deliveries to Hyland Manor. If you do not deliver the required products by the deadline, your payment will be halved. You will have a 24-hour extension to deliver products at half price. If you fail to meet that deadline as well, the truce will be considered void, and Benzies’ Cartel will declare you as an enemy. Use this method to move on to the Benzies once you are ready to take them down.
