Pokémon Pokopia – How to Skip Time

    By Kirthana KMarch 5, 2026Updated:July 24, 20262 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Changing the day and night cycle in-game depends on your system’s time and date format.
    • By changing the real time and day, you get to skip time and advance the game.
    • There are no negative consequences for changing the time.

Pokopia is a cross between a building sim and the classic Pokémon game, so you get the best of both worlds here. Sometimes, it could be a pain to wait around for that elusive Pokémon spawn or to complete certain tasks. Luckily, the game does offer a way to skip time, so you don’t have to sit idle for your tasks to get completed.

How to Skip Time in Pokopia

Pokopia’s day and night cycle is influenced by real time. Depending on the AM and PM of your system, the time of day will be reflected in-game as well. To change the time, all you need to do is head over to your Nintendo system settings and scroll down to find the system option. Find the Date and Time option and select Current Date and Time while turning off the “Synchronise Clock via Internet” option.

Over here, you can advance the day and time by changing the required setting. Once done, click OK and head back into the game. The time and date set on your system will reflect in-game, too. I found that changing time is a great way to advance the gameplay and help unlock items and Pokémon that would otherwise take me several hours or days.
