Half Sword – Craft Armor & Weapons Explained

By Kirthana KFebruary 3, 20263 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • While checking out the Tavern menu, you will spot an option to Craft Weapon or Craft Armor.
    • In reality, you can’t craft new weapons or armor, but you can modify them.
    • These options appear alternatively as the days pass by.

Since Half Sword is all about getting better and stronger, you need to make the most of the options given to you. You do get the option to modify your armor and weapons from the Crafting menu, and these can give you a varying experience. But if you are new to the game, then the instructions to use this particular menu are nonexistent.

How to Use the Craft Weapon Feature

Once in the Tavern, click on the Weaponsmith when you spot the Craft Weapon option. Select the Forge Weapon option to be taken to the weapon modification menu. Over here, you get to select the weapon that you wish to modify, then change several of its features. Some of the features you get to tweak are:

    • Grip size and mass
    • Head size and mass
    • Leather color
    • Wood tint
    • Decorative metal

Do note that the heavier you make your weapon, the more difficult it gets to use it effectively. If your character isn’t strong enough, then lowering most of the weapon’s features will help utilize it better. But a heavier weapon can deal a lot more damage, which is great as you progress through the ranks.

How to Use the Craft Armor Feature

The craft armor feature lets you modify your insured armor to add other features to it. To find this option, keep a lookout for the Armormaster in the Tavern. Speak to him and select the Adjust Armor option. Within the new menu, you will spot the list of owned armor that can be modified on your right, and the customize armor menu on your left. Right now, the Craft Armor option is used to remove chains from armor pieces, especially if you are having a difficult time trying to use cuisses, vambraces, and spaulders.

    FAQs

Will adjusting my weapon’s features influence the cost?

Yes, the more features you add to your weapons, the higher the gold cost will be.

When will more features be added to the Craft Armor menu?

It is unclear when more customization features will be added for your armor. For now, it is best used to remove chains from armor pieces.

When do I find the Craft Armor/ Craft Weapon option?

These two features alternate per day in the Tavern. If you are looking for one of these options, rest up at the Tavern to uncover a new day and get either the Craft Armor or Craft Weapon option.

Can I test out my modified weapon before purchasing it?

Yes, you get to take your weapon to the training area and test it out. This helps make further modifications to your weapon if necessary.
