Quarantine Zone: The Last Check – How to Get Perfect Inspection Always

By Amar DeogaonkarJanuary 15, 20266 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Manually select and log at least 75% of the survivor’s symptoms in the Symptoms Tab to get an Excellent rating in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
    • Highlight each instance of document discrepancy (even after opting to liquidate the survivor based on their symptoms) to get a perfect inspection score.
    • Double-check the survivor’s weight displayed on the scale and ensure it matches the weight noted on their passport to uncover hidden contraband.

A Perfect inspection score is an elusive thing to get in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check. Consistent ‘Excellent’ ratings can do wonders for your facility, while declining scores can get you shut down by the Central Command. After hours of replay and striving for excellence, I have found the perfect checklist to ensure that you can always achieve perfect inspection in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.

I have searched every pocket, bag, and cavity of every seemingly innocent person that passed through my checkpoint, and oh boy! Let me tell you, this game is not forgiving. You need a keen eye and must go through an extensive checklist if you want that Excellent Rating. Save yourself some frustration over lost ratings and follow these six simple steps to ensure that you get a perfect inspection score every time.

    Start with the Paperwork

This should come as no surprise, but some survivors think they can get away with simple things. I always start my inspection by checking the Entry Reason and Expiry Date of the person’s passport. Then I move on to see whether the ID Number matches the Name and Face of the person in front of me. Always remember: Even if the person in front of you is clearly infected and you are thinking about quarantining them, sending them to a lab, or liquidating them, you must report document discrepancies. Failing to report the aforementioned errors will take a bite out of your inspection score.

    The Scales don’t lie

Before you let them speak, check every survivor’s weight using your scale. I can’t tell you how many ‘mules’ I have caught simply because the weight on their ID was a couple of kilograms lighter than their actual weight. If you see any difference between their weight as per your scale and their ID, no matter how small the change, break out your X-Ray machine and use it to see what they are packing. Sometimes it’s drugs, other times it’s weapons.

    Log the Symptoms Manually

This might be the biggest issue that’s preventing you from getting that perfect score. I have noticed that it’s not sufficient just to ‘notice’ a symptom and send the person ahead for processing. You must ‘log’ every symptom you see manually in your Symptoms Tab. Open the Symptoms Menu and click on every symptom that you can see in the survivor. If you see a symptom you don’t recognise yet, mark it as ‘Unknown’. Then you can send them over to the lab (or liquidate them).

    Double-check their luggage

Even if you find hidden contraband on and in their person, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the worst thing you will find. Never forget to check their luggage. I have made it a practice to rescan every bag, even if it’s empty. I have found several survivors who have hidden a small object (a Vial or a Letter) tucked somewhere in their bags that is easily missed if you do just one scan.

Keep an eye on your consumables

It’s impossible to get a perfect score if you can’t perform all the necessary tests. If you are low on your consumables, you will create a logjam or have to process some survivors at subpar ratings. I recommend that you keep a close eye on your consumables and refill them as soon as they get low. Learn how to perform emergency procedures to get moving, such as refilling the Syringe Analyzer, so you don’t have to rely on guesswork while processing a suspicious person.

    Don’t rush the judgment

This is probably the most important tip. Do not rush the judgment. If you are chasing perfect ratings, speed should be the last thing on your mind. Be deliberate, recheck and double-check, and go through the list of all possible violations carefully (placed on the right side of your UI). I have missed a perfect score by making a simple mistake once: hitting ‘Approve’ by accident, even when I had a violation clearly listed. Speed is your worst enemy. Take your time.

    FAQs

Why did I get a ‘Poor’ rating, even after finding contraband?

This has happened with me way more times than I’d care to admit! This usually happens because you failed to log the survivor’s symptoms under the Symptoms Tab. Even if you find and tag contraband, even after you find symptoms and send them to the lab, you still need to manually input the symptoms. That’s the easily missable key to getting perfect inspection always in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.

Why is contraband invisible on X-Ray?

Many players have reported this pesky bug that might decrease your rating. If there’s a difference in the person’s weight and the weight mentioned on their ID, use your X-Ray Machine. Slowly scan the survivor with X-Ray, cycle through layers multiple times, and wait for the ‘Tag’ prompt to appear at the bottom of your screen. Even if you can’t actually ‘see’ the contraband, you will be able to tag it if you are patient.

Do I need to check survivors who have a ‘Search Waiver’?

Absolutely! Don’t make this mistake. You must check everyone who passes through your checkpoint. In my experience, it’s the people who have ‘special permissions’ or ‘search waivers’ that carry the most dangerous contraband. I recommend that you simply ignore the waiver and perform a full scan.

    How to tackle ‘Unknown’ symptoms?

If you come across a symptom that’s not on your list, send the person to the lab to research the symptom. I suggest you do this every time. Doing so will result in unlocking the symptom (it will be added under your Symptoms Tab). Once the ‘Unknown’ symptom is successfully researched, you can get a perfect score by identifying it every subsequent time.
