Getting your hands on the Maternity Ward Level 2 Key is extremely important to successfully break out of the Testing Facility in Code Violet. I have looked in every room and slain every ferocious dinosaur, big and small, to find this key. After thorough searching and almost memorizing the entire blood-soaked layout of the devastated medical facility, I finally found it in the highly missable place!

Code Violet – Maternity Ward Level 2 Key Location

I have searched high and low for this key. Save yourself some trouble and follow these steps to find it quickly:

1. Locate the door to the South Corridor.
2. Enter the South Corridor.
3. Keep traveling straight ahead, opening two more doors.
4. After another door that has ‘South Corridor’ written above it, you will enter a horizontal room (The actual South Corridor).
5. This room has a Raptor enemy; kill it immediately upon entering the horizontal room.
6. This room will have Maternity Ward Level 1 on the left side and Maternity Ward Level 2 on the right side.
7. Materinity Ward Level 2 will be locked.
8. Interact with the Maternity Ward Level 1 door and open it.
9. There will be a group of small dinosaurs (Compsognathus) in this room. Keep aiming your flashlight and pistol at the ground to counter their fast attacks.
10. Maternity Ward Level 1 will have six small rooms, three on the left side and three on the right side.
11. The second room on the right side will be open when you enter the Maternity Ward Level 1.
12. Once you cross it or come in front of it, another group of small dinosaurs will rush towards you. Quickly kill them all, keeping your flashlight and Pistol aimed at the ground.
13. Maternity Ward Level 2 key can be found in that very room (second room on the right), along with a Datapad.
14. Interact with the key to place it in your inventory.
15. Travel back to the horizontal room and interact with Maternity Ward Level 2 and use the key from your inventory to open it.

I also highly recommend exploring all the other rooms found in Maternity Ward Level 1 to find some exciting items, such as Mites, Copper, Red Serpentine, and Red Pills.

This specific key is located in the Maternity Ward Level 1 (located opposite the Level 2 door). Open the Level 1 door, go to the middle right room, kill the oncoming small dinosaurs, and enter this small room. You can find the key lying on the ground in the middle of the room, and a Datapad on the table placed on the left side of the room.

What other things can be gained by exploring Maternity Ward Level 1?

While your main objective is finding the key to Level 2, I strongly suggest exploring the rest of the rooms in Level 1. They can offer lucrative rewards, definitely worth the extra five minutes. These include:

1. First door to the right: Blue Pills and Bandages.
2. Second door to the right: Maternity Ward Level 2 Key and Datapad.
3. Third door to the right: Copper and Mites (x200)
4. First door to the left: Red Serpentine
5. Second door to the left: Nothing.

Absolutely! There is an outfit called ‘Tech Queen’ that can be found pretty nearby. It can be found in the Security Room.
