The Secret Lake in Loftia might look highly elusive, and the only way to get here is after progressing through the game a lot more and getting the option to upgrade your glider. That way, you can continue flying longer distances and ultimately reach the Secret Lake. But if you can’t wait that long, there is another way to get there.

How to Reach the Secret Lake
You will find the Loftia Secret Lake north of Windmill Island and east of Overgrowth. I recommend taking the path through the Overgrowth for an easier time. You will require a Level 2 Hammer and a Level 2 Pruner first, or team up with players who have these tools. I would also suggest equipping the Bounce Shoes to reach higher areas.
Navigating Overgrowth
Then, make your way to Lower Village first, then cross over to the north towards Overgrowth. Your path will be blocked by large boulders, so this is where you need to use the Level 2 Hammer. After breaking down the rocks, a bit further down the path, on the right, are some brambles that require a Level 2 Pruner to tear them down. After reaching the new area, you will find two banana trees.
To the right of these trees is a small mushroom, and you can step on it to bounce upwards if you have the Bounce Shoes equipped. Upon reaching the platform above, head right towards the NPC with the pink bunny hat and jump up to the platform behind her. You will face a log right in front of you, and this is where you need to watch your step.
Finding the Secret Lake
Jump up onto the rocky formation behind the log and look left. You need to continue walking down the side of the mountain until the Secret Lake is visible ahead. Do be careful, as the chances of falling off are quite high here. The easiest way I found to make my way across was to only walk on the grassy areas of the mountainside.
Eventually, you will have to jump across towards the cliff with the tree ahead, where you will finally spot the Secret Lake in front of you. Now all that’s left is to make a running jump and glide across to the other side. You will eventually reach the Secret Lake, and you can use the new fishing spots to catch new fish and also find new resources in the Hanging Gardens of Loftia.

Is there a way to reach the Secret Lake without Bouncy Shoes?
The only way to get to the Secret Lake otherwise is to progress through the main storyline and upgrade your propeller and glider.
Can I make do with a Level 1 Hammer and Pruner?
Level 1 Hammer and Pruners won’t be sufficient for breaking down the obstacles in your path. You could always find players who are going towards that same path and have them break down the path for you.
