How to Get Durafiber

Durafiber is a mid-game resource that you will find in the second map, the Pacific Coast. Once you reach the second area, keep exploring until you get a side objective to Restore Power at the Weather Station. If you haven’t found the weather station yet, I found it on top of the hill up north. If you follow along the coastline of the beach that connects to the lighthouse, you will eventually find a ladder leaning against the cliff wall.
Once I reached this place, I could find the Weather Station after climbing the ladder. But I wasn’t here for the quest, but to get Durafiber. Walk a bit downhill from the ladder and look around for large ferns sticking out from the grass. These ferns will appear singular, and I could get 1x Durafiber when using my bare hands.
If you can’t spot them, what I did was to walk really close to the fern so it’s highlighted, then pick it up to add it to my backpack. Make sure you have some space to store Durafiber in your inventory.
How to Use Durafiber

Durafiber is a requirement to craft Sickle II, which helps advance through the Weather Station quest. To upgrade your Sickle, you will require 6x Durafibre and 2x Coarse Metal. You can craft 1x Coarse Metal by converting 1x Coarse Ore at the Metal Smelter. I could find Coarse Ore very early on, in the first map, so you shouldn’t have a lot of problems finding it either.
Then, make your way to the Workbench in your van and find the Sickle II blueprint on it. Interact with it once you have the required resources to play the minigame. Winning the minigame will help you unlock Sickle II, which, when used, will yield double the crop output while harvesting.
