Where To Find Rusty Crank in RE9?
To find the Rusty Crank, you need to head over to the Cedarbrook Apartments after the BSAA Container Key cutscene. Follow the steps given below to find the Rusty Crank:
- Once inside Cedarbrook Apartments, take the stairs to the first floor.
- Go to the rooftop from the first floor. Ahead, you will find the location of a Rusty Crank Slot. But you will need a Rusty Crank to open it.
- From the Rusty Crank Slot location, go inside the first door on your right. You’ll spot an opening to jump back onto the ground floor.
- Jump down, and you will find your Rusty Crank attached next to a blue door.
After finding the Rusty Crank, there are three locations you can use it.

Rusty Crank Slot Location # 1 | Cedarbrook Apartments Ground Floor
The first location you need to use the Rusty Crank is at the very location you found it. Hold your F key to open the blue door next to it. By doing so, you will be able to access the first floor of Cedarbrook Apartments again.
Rusty Crank Slot Location # 2 | Cedarbrook Apartments First Floor
The second location to use the Rusty Crank is the first floor of Cedarbrook Apartments, the place with a metallic door. Use the F key to insert the Rusty Crank and use it to open the door.
Rusty Crank Slot Location # 3 | Sewage Facility
The final location of a Rusty Crank Slot is underground in the Sewage Facility. Follow the steps given below to reach the location:
- Take the stairs leading down to the Underground Parking Garage of Cedarbrook Apartments.
- From there, go straight and take the stairs leading down to the Sewage Facility.
- Keep heading straight and go inside the right door from the flooded area where the battery is located.
- Keep heading straight until you find a red door with a Rusty Crank Slot next to it.
