Key Points
- ARC Raiders’ Shrouded Sky update has added the Hurricane map condition and two new enemies: the Firefly and the Comet.
- The Firefly is an aerial ARC with a Flamethrower, and its Core and Thrusters serve as its weak points.
- On the other hand, the Comet is a rolling ARC which explodes on contact, and its only weak point is its Core.
ARC Raiders’ newest update, Shrouded Sky, has introduced a brand-new map condition, Hurricane, along with two new ARC threats: the Firefly and the Comet. The Firefly is a flying ARC with a devastating Flamethrower, which deals massive damage in close ranges, while the Comet is a spherical ARC that tails you until it explodes with a seismic boom. To take care of them easily, here’s what you need to do in ARC Raiders.

How to Defeat Fireflies in ARC Raiders?

Fireflies can spawn anywhere on the map in ARC Raiders. Unlike the Comet, they can spawn even without the Hurricane map condition. They’re an armored flying machine equipped with a flamethrower that deals major damage up close.
To kill Fireflies, the best approach is to gain some distance from them and target their Thrusters or the Core. The Thrusters are located on both sides of this ARC enemy, so shooting either will cause them to become off balance and fall to the ground. The Core is the harder target to hit since it is located in the middle, so you need to be more precise with your aim. This is why targeting their Thrusters is your safest bet.
Stay behind cover, and target their Thrusters as much as you can. If they close the distance on you, run away and find a new cover, then repeat the process. Once you’ve defeated them, they’ll drop a special item called the Firefly Burner, which is a recyclable item.
How to Defeat Comets in ARC Raiders?

Comets are easier to kill, but harder to find in ARC Raiders. Unlike the Fireflies, these Comets rarely spawn during normal map conditions and have an increased spawn rate during the new Hurricane map condition. These ARCs are fitted with a self-destructing seismic boom, meaning that if you get too close, it will lock on to you and roll towards you at high speed until it’s close enough to explode, taking you down in the process.
The easiest way to kill a Comet is to throw a Wolfpack Grenade when it’s tailing you, as it will one-shot it instantly. If you do not have a Wolfpack handy, use the Showstopper Grenade to stun it, then shoot its Core . If you successfully destroy the Comet before it explodes, you’ll get the Comet Igniter as a confirmed drop.
The best places to find these are the Dam Battlegrounds map near the Research & Administration Building or the Hydroponic Dome Complex. This doesn’t mean they won’t spawn on the other maps; it’s just that the chances are low without the Hurricane map condition. Just keep a Wolfpack in your inventory when you encounter one of them.
