Hytale – How To Summon Skeletons

Hytale’s pre-release update introduces Necromancy, and you get to summon a horde of skeletons to help you in battle. But first, you need to collect a particular artifact, and this requires some grinding here. Plus, you will require other materials to help you summon skeletons. Once you have everything, you are free to summon your personal army.

How to Get Grimoire: Rekindle Embers

You need to defeat Praetorian Skeletons found all around Zone 4’s burning areas to get the Grimoire: Rekindle Embers. While checking the map, look around for greyed-out sections to find them. This is an extremely rare drop, so you will need to defeat several Praetorian Skeletons to get this particular item.

How to Summon Skeletons

The next step in summoning skeletons is to collect piles of bones or skulls. You will find bones and skulls as drops from enemies, or find them randomly while exploring dungeons and caves.

• Place the pile of bones on the ground and equip the Grimoire: Rekindle Embers in your hotbar.
• Then, hold down the mouse key to point at the bones.
• Releasing the button will summon skeletons.
• To summon more skeletons, you will require one Grimoire: Rekindle Embers per skeleton summoned.

Once summoned, skeletons will last 5 minutes before they disintegrate. They will also disappear if you are killed.

Will I get my collected bones back after the skeletons disappear?

No, all bones will be used up once the skeletons are summoned. You need to acquire new bones to summon more skeletons.

What’s the max number of skeletons I get to summon?

You get to summon 5 skeletons at a time. Do remember that summoning one skeleton will use up one Grimoire: Rekindle Embers.
