    3. How to Recycle Wastes in No Man’s Sky

The color-coded Incinerators in No Man's Sky.

Almost every title required for the Colossus parts needs waste recycling. With the help of the prerequisites that you’ve unlocked, you’ll be able to easily scan for waste, recycle them, and progress your milestones to obtain all the new parts. Here are the steps to successfully recycle waste in No Man’s Sky:

    1. Equip the Flatbed Chassis Module on your Colossus, then scan for Waste Heap.
    2. Use the Gravitino Coil upgrade to magnetize and stack the Scrap Barrels and waste on top of your Colossus’ Flatbed Chassis.
    3. Scan for the nearby Waste Processing Unit, and drive carefully to that specific location.
    4. On your way to the location, pick up extra Scrap Barrels and waste if possible.
    5. Once you’re at the Waste Processing Units, dump the Scrap Barrels into their color-coded Incinerators.

There are three types of Scrap Barrels: Red (Explosive), Yellow (Radioactive), and Green (Toxic). Segregate these Scrap Barrels by the colors of the incinerators, and start dumping them to recycle and progress your title milestones. Do not sell them as a stack, as they will not count towards your milestone.
