An axe is a go-to weapon for chopping down trees and heads. They are incredibly powerful and get better with skill upgrades. Fire Axe is the best version of the axe in the game; it hits hard and leaves nothing behind.

Fire Axe will do nasty damage against many common zombies, and it will stand up great against the bigger ones. Compared to the beginner axes, the Fire Axe is tougher and deals more damage to enemies. It might not have the range of a bow, but it delivers a killing blow up close.
Get the Fire Axe
You can get a Fire Axe by trading or looting containers around the map. But it is also a reward for completing a quest, “Repair Help“.
- Make your way to the camp located northeast of the map. Get inside the camp, and then locate Mark by the white van parked next to the blue container.
- He will ask you to fix up the wooden wall by the fence near the white van. You will need to obtain wood to fix the wall. Head outside to chop down some trees to get a decent amount of wood.
- Now, interact with the wall by going into the Build mode (Press B), and then press the fix button to repair the wooden wall.
Note: The wall will have a progress bar, and repair it until the progress bar is complete to finish the quest.
Once the wall is fully repaired, talk to Mark, inside the camp again, and you will get the Fire Axe along with 2 Boxes of Nails and 150 Exp.
