How to Get and Use the Supply Chest
Follow through with the main story quests until you unlock Howling Hill Camp. Once here, you need to find Carl. This NPC is the Base Camp Provisions Keeper, and you will find the Supply Chest right behind him. You can come here anytime throughout the game to unlock and check its contents. You will always find all your missed and lost loot here, which is handy if enemies have despawned before you had a chance to loot them.
The supply chest comes with limited slots, and you only have 230 slots available for now. There is no way to upgrade the chest slots, so you need to check in frequently and collect items that you will need or sell the items you don’t require. Luckily, you don’t have to pay any money to get all your missed or lost items, so you can keep coming back here to find something valuable.
The Supply Chest will also store all your pre-ordered and deluxe items, so it is worth taking your time to check the chest as soon as you unlock the area. Also, if you don’t have time to raid the battlefield after a fight, you can set your pets to roam and collect all fallen items. This is a great way to set your pets out and make them gather items while you are swamped with other work.
Is the Supply Chest Worth It?
Absolutely. Personally, I found the supply chest to be a life saver when I couldn’t take the time to loot all the enemies and chests in the area. Also, this is a great way to get items in early game that that I could sell for cash. I would suggest taking some time very early in the game to explore the contents in your supply chest and sell anything that you don’t require for cash.
