7DS Origins doesn’t always have puzzles, but occasionally you do encounter them as part of certain quests. Most of the time, they are quite easy to solve. But some puzzles, like the floor panel puzzle, could leave you puzzled even if you have the clues.

How to Solve the Ironclad Security Floor Panel Puzzle
Ironclad Security is part of the main story quest that you will unlock as you progress through the game. Specifically, you need to reach Act 16 – Enter the Righteous Thief in the Ravens until you get the cutscene to investigate the cellar. This will trigger Episode 31 – Ironclad Security. The quest just has one objective, which is to solve the floor panel puzzle.
As soon as you reach the cellar, check out the large blue hourglass nearby. This will give you a pop-up message explaining what you need to do. Using an elemental attack or Adventure Skill, hit the hourglass a couple of times to rotate it. In case you are using an elemental attack, take a look at the icon on top of the hourglass.
This will give you an idea of what element will work to tip the hourglass over. The icon will change after a while, so keep an eye on it before unleashing your attack. Once the timer has started, interact with the note attached to the wall nearby. There is a riddle written on the note that could be hard to decipher at first.
What I did to solve the puzzle was to look at the floor panels first. Each panel had a unique symbol that symbolises the elements. With that, I reread the note on the door and noted down the elements that appear in it and in which order. Then, all I had to do was step on the panels in the correct order to complete the puzzle. The panels you need to press in order are:
- Cold
- Fire
- Wind
- Darkness
- Holy
You need to step on each panel before the hourglass timer ends. And with that, the door nearby will be unlocked. Head inside to find a chest and get your final reward and also loot the chest nearby for random loot.

You can claim 50 Star Fragments after unlocking the chest and get the next quest objective.
What do I do after solving the puzzle and picking up the reward?
The quest objective will change to Escape the Abandoned Building. You need to head back up the stairs and out of the building before the timer ends.

You can always hit the hourglass again and try doing the puzzle once more.
