How to Get More Inventory Space
When you first start the game, you own just three inventory slots by default. This might suffice early in the game, since you won’t have a wide choice of weapons or items that you need to carry around. But after hitting island 2 and beyond, you will find yourself in a bit of a pickle. With all the new weapons and lures you can collect, having just three slots just won’t be enough.
Luckily, you can purchase extra slots after hitting the second and third islands. For that, you need to clear the first island, the Lighthouse, and defeat the Spider Crab. Then, speak to the NPC here to get the coordinates to the next area as well as the boat to travel there. Once you reach Island 2, you can check out the shop here. You will find an Inventory Slot item that sells for $5.
Purchase it to get 1 extra slot in your inventory. Then, complete the boss fights here and help the NPC on the island to get the coordinates to the next island. Once again, check out the store to purchase 1 more extra slot for $10. Beyond this, you can’t find extra inventory slots on the other islands. In total, you get just 5 inventory slots after purchasing them from the two islands.
How to Use the Inventory
Anytime you purchase an item from the store, it automatically gets added to your inventory. If you wish to switch out items like weapons from your inventory slots, then you need to drop an item that you don’t need to the floor. This is the only way you can make space in your inventory for new items. You can always go back and retrieve the item from where you dropped it in case you change your mind.
