How to Find the Whale Boss
The Whale Boss is the final boss available in the game. You will find this island after completing Island 4 and collecting the coordinates from the NPC here. After reaching the final island, you will find a scientist on the island. Speak to them, and they will ask you to collect five native fish around the island. Purchase the Scientific Lure from the store and use it to capture the fish. Kill them before handing them over to the scientist.
Completing this quest will reward you with the Fish Bucket lure, which is a requirement to capture the Bowhead Whale. But before that, I recommend purchasing the Assault Rifle and upgrading your bullets. I won’t suggest purchasing dynamite here, since the boss is too huge and mobile to enter the dynamite’s hitbox. You could purchase any of the weapon upgrades, like a laser sight, but it won’t be much of a requirement here.
How to Cheese the Whale Boss
The Bowhead Whale is just as difficult to beat as the Pufferfish. The easiest method I found to cheese the Bowhead Whale is to quickly make my way to the fourth island where the Albatross and Tuna bosses spawn. Then, I could use the Fishing Bucket lure here to summon the boss. After spawning the boss, I made my way inside the shack. From there, all you need to do is look out and shoot.
The Whale is too big to fit inside the shack, so it will mostly be around and on top of the shack. It’s quite easy to shoot at the whale from down there, so you should have no trouble bringing the boss down this way. Once dead, pick up the whale carcass and make your way to the fifth island again. Place planks along the volcano and toss the whale inside.
This will summon the Mutated Whale. Repeat the same process as with the regular Bowhead Whale and lure it to island 4. Enter the shack and shoot at it from inside to get rid of this boss too. As the final part of the game, pick up the carcass and hand it over to the scientist back on the fifth island. He will give you the keys to leave, which will end the game.
