How to Find the Minotaur
Usually, you will be notified of the Minotaur’s appearance before loading into the level when you spot a distinct Minotaur head icon on the screen. This usually occurs on the 2nd floor and above, across the zones, especially at the Minotaur Maze and the final Hell floor. The Minotaur also has a chance to respawn later on, even if it has been defeated earlier.
How to Avoid the Minotaur
The Minotaur is no easy enemy to face, and if you find one in your level, I recommend booking it out of there. If you can’t find the exit, run around until you find the Daedalus Shrine to help you escape. Luckily, you will find some distractions that will help keep the Minotaur away for a while. Usually when a Minotaur spawns on the map, you will also find the ZAP Brigade as well.
Do not try to help the ZAP Brigade, as there is a chance that the Minotaur will ignore them and still make a beeline towards you. Use this distraction to buy you some time to find the exit. To help slow down the Minotaur, I found that using traps and slowing spells like Cold helps stall it for a bit.
Do not depend on walls, gaps, and vendors to stop it, as the Minotaur will always bypass them. The fastest character that I know to outrun the Minotaur is the rat form, Shaman.
How to Beat the Minotaur
When fighting him head-on, a tankier character like the warrior or an elemental class like the wizard might work. Aim for iron and higher armor sets, and do not fight the Minotaur if you still own leather armor. Having maxed out in the shield skill will help with the extra defense. The Minotaur is known to be weak to magic attacks, especially against Fire and Lightning spells.
If you own Fire Traps, they can be used to kill it too. Once you reach level 25 and beyond, you will need the best armor and weapon, since the Minotaur’s stats will be doubled. Meaning he will deal a lot more damage, which can easily one-shot you. Steel and Crystal armor will protect you against the Minotaur, and high-tiered Tomahawks, Khryselakatos, or any heavy-duty weapon will work here.
