How to Get Jonathan Out of His Hut

If you get a task that requires you to find and get Jonathan out of his hut, then you need to check outdoors rather than indoors. This task appears across all maps and isn’t secluded to just one map. After loading in, check your task list to find this objective. When I first got this quest, I had no idea who Jonathan was until I found his house out in the wilderness.
To find Jonathan, run around the outside of the house and check the yard to find a small hut. This hut is different from the large shed or greenhouse, as it is the same size as a gnome house. Once you find it, knock on it a couple of times until Jonathan comes out, which will mark this quest as completed.
Other Jonathan Objectives

There are other tasks that involve Jonathan, such as making him slip on soap, poking him with a fork, and having him drop his boombox. Let’s start off with him slipping on a bar of soap.
Make Jonathan Slip Using a Bar of Soap
While you can lure Jonathan inside the house to have him slip on soap, I found that option to be a bit too risky. There is a chance that the Old Man will catch Jonathan and kick him out. Rather, enter the Old Man’s house and make your way to the bathroom.
Climb on top of the bathroom sink to find a soap holder right above the sink. Use your elongated arms to pick up the soap and run back to Jonathan. Place the soap in front of him and move back, which will make him follow you and, in turn, slip on the soap.
Make Jonathan Drop his Music Box

There are several ways to get this objective done. I found the easiest way to get him to drop his boombox was to toss something heavy at his head and stun him. You can drop a plate or a vase, or push him off high counters to have him pass out and drop the boom box.
If he were seen by the Old Man, then he would drop his boombox after being picked up. Using bees to sting him will also stun him and make him drop the boombox. Then, just pick it up and add it to your inventory to complete the objective.
Stab Jonathan with a Fork
You will find a fork in the kitchen drawers. If you can’t find one here, then make your way to the dining area and hop onto a table to find some cutlery, and possibly a fork. Once you have one, head outside and find Jonathan. Get him out of his hut and stab him a couple of times with the fork to get this objective completed.

FAQs
What else can Johnathan do?
Jonathan is pretty good at fighting small enemies like the Evil Gnome, Sealmen, and Bibi, so having him follow you around the house can be a good distraction.
Can I kill Johnathan?
Yes, if you have a very strong weapon like the missile gun or pistol, you can kill him and loot his boombox. But Jonathan is immune to punches and hits from lightweight weapons.
Jonathan won’t come out of his hut. What do I do?
You need to knock on the door of his hut once and wait for him to reply, then knock again and listen to his reply again. He will pop out after the third knock.
