How to Build Traps

To start building traps in Save the World, all I had to do was head over to the Build mode and first put down either a wall, floor, ceiling, or ramp. Since I started with floors, after putting one down, I got an option to build a Trap. Hold down this option to bring up the Trap wheel. This will show all the available traps that can be used.
If you can’t find a trap that you are looking for, head into your inventory and select the trap you want under the Traps category. This will bring up the trap construction in front of you. To put down your trap, press the button shown above the trap icon on the right side of the lower corner.
The same applies to picking Traps from the Trap wheel. If you have selected a trap outside of Build mode, then enter Build mode and put down the trap by pressing the respective button shown on the right side corner.
All Trap Types and Use
The game features three types of traps: Ceiling Traps, Floor Traps, and Wall Traps. There are 7 Wall Traps, 4 Ceiling Traps, and 10 Floor Traps available.
Floor Traps
| Trap | Use |
| Anti Air Trap | Useful on enemies like ‘Sploders and Lobbers who use throwables and projectiles. Won’t work against bullets from Gunslingers and Blasters. |
| Cozy Campfire | Place around defenders or around yourself and your allies to heal up. |
| Defender Post | Place it around your base for extra defense. |
| Flame Grill | Good against Nature enemies. |
| Freeze Trap | Place multiple traps against the objective to freeze enemies in their tracks, making it easier to deal damage. |
| Floor Launcher | Put them around the objective to push back enemies. |
| Healing Pad | Place them on the ground and not on upper floors for maximum healing. |
| Retractable Floor Spike | Deals damage when enemies step on them. |
| Tar Pit | Stops all enemies in their tracks for a few seconds. |
| Floor Spikes | Slows down enemies and they remain slowed down for another tile step ahead. |
Wall Traps
| Trap | Use |
| Broadside | Place another wall opposite the Broadside to bounce the cannon balls back and forth to deal damage. |
| Sound Wall | Place them on the outer building walls to stun enemies. Enemies holding items like propane tanks will drop them if stunned. |
| Wall Dart | Can shoot darts through windows and ramps, and also over small walls. |
| Wall Dynamo/ Zap-O-Max | Place it against outer walls to zap enemies. |
| Wall Luncher | Put them near cliffs or pits to push enemies off it. |
| Wall Light | Stuns enemies for a few seconds. |
| Wall Spikes | Use them directly around the objective to keep enemies back |
Ceiling Traps
| Trap | Use |
| Ceiling Drop Trap | Place them above slopes to roll the tires off and hit enemies. Put them at least 3 tiles high for maximum damage. |
| Ceiling Electric Field | Place it one tile high above the enemy spawn point to instantly trigger and deal damage. |
| Ceiling Gas Trap | Pair with wooden floor spikes or freeze traps to immobilze enemies and deal damage. Place them only 1 tile high for maximum damage. |
| Ceiling Zapper | Great against singular targets but not against groups. |
