Heartopia – How To Easily Obtain More Black Truffle

By Sagnik AdhikaryFebruary 24, 20264 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • Black Truffles are a scarce resource used to replenish energy, sell for Gold, or use in cooking recipes.
    • They are typically available on Forest Island, located in the northeastern part of the map, with a 4-pile spawn rate.
    • Fortunately, there’s a way to double the spawn rate to obtain more Black Truffles at once by joining your friend’s town mid-harvest.

Black Truffles in Heartopia are a rare resource, available in small black mounds at a specific location on the map: the Forest Island. Generally, you’ll find only 4 mounds spawning on the islands, and once you collect them, they go into a cooldown. However, there’s a method to double the spawn rate to obtain more Truffles at once.

    1. Head to the Forest Island With Your Vehicle

Driving to the Forest Island in Heartopia.

The first step to getting extra Black Truffles in Heartopia is heading to the Forest Island in your vehicle. Do not use the bus. Use any other vehicle to drive to the island, which is located in the northeastern part of the map, to the east of the Deer Tower.

    2. Locate the Black Truffle Spawns & Save the One Closest to the Tent

    Obtaining Black Truffles in Heartopia.

Cross the bridge with your car, exit the vehicle, then identify where the Truffle spawns. Typically, you’ll have 4 Truffle spawns there, which are located under trees. Don’t start unearthing them just yet. Once you’ve located every spawn, save the last Truffle closest to the tent to harvest. This will come in handy later on.

Now, start digging to obtain the Truffles. You’ll get at least two Truffles from each pile you unearth, with a chance to obtain more.

    3. Join Your Friend’s Town When Harvesting the Last Truffle

    Joining Friend's Town in Heartopia.

When you’re harvesting the last Truffle that you saved for last, immediately join your friend’s town mid-harvest. You can do so from your Friendship Journal on your in-game mobile. Once you’ve joined your friend’s town, you’ll be teleported back to your house.

    4. Head to the Forest Island Again & Collect the Truffles

Digging for Black Truffles in Heartopia.

Next, head to the Forest Island once again with your vehicle. Do not use the bus or any other means of transport. Once you’re there, exit the vehicle before crossing the bridge. On the Island, you’ll notice that there are now 8 Black Truffle spawns instead of 4 under the trees in the area. Now, all you have to do is unearth these black mounds and collect the Truffles.

    5. Wait 15 Minutes and Circle the Island to Respawn the Truffles

Circling around the map to have Black Truffle pile spawns in Heartopia.

The Black Truffle spawns have a cooldown of 15 minutes after you’ve collected them on the Forest Island. So, once you’ve unearthed or dug up every Truffle, wait for the cooldown to end. In the meantime, circle the island on foot near the spawn locations until they spawn. You can bring your vehicle now.

This is because the Truffle spawns won’t trigger or render unless you’re close to them. They need to be rendered a few times on the screen, so keep circling the island with your vehicle until you spawn all 8 spots, then repeat the process to have extra Black Truffles.

    FAQs

What happens if I accidentally leave the game?

If you leave Heartopia while trying out this method, you need to redo all the steps mentioned above to spawn 8 Black Truffle mounds on Forest Island.

If I don’t circle the map, will the 8 Black Truffle piles despawn?

Yes, as mentioned before, they need to be rendered on the Forest Island before you can start collecting them. Circle the areas where they spawn to render them, then proceed with the collection process.

What can I do with Black Truffles?

With these Truffles, you can either restore your energy by consuming them, sell them to Albert Jr. for 99 Gold, or use them in cooking recipes such as Black Truffle Pie and Black Truffle Cream.
