Key Points
- The base will provide you with fortification from zombies and space to expand your area, and so much more.
- Be sure to be on the lookout for resources in the nearby vicinity before thinking about building a base.
- Not all base-building areas are perfect; some might have access to wood or water, while others might give you a safe spot from zombies and access to a gun or auto shop.
When you are setting up a base in any part of the map in HumanitZ, you must look out for the gas or fuel for the vehicle, zombie density, the wall around the base, and loot. The game features plenty of resourceful locations with positives and negatives; there is no base that can be considered perfect.

Be prepared to make sacrifices, especially if you are looking to build your base with the purpose of gaining access to one significant resource and abandoning others. While you will have bases that give you access to a gun shop, they will lack wood or water. Choose the base that gives you the most resources and meets your needs.
Here, I will list out all the best places you can build your base to work towards creating a perfect place.
Prison | A1 Grid

Advantages:
- One Entrance Way
- Heavily Fortified
- Fuel Station Near
- Loot
- Building Space
Disadvantages:
- Far away from other locations
- Sprawling with zombies.
If you are looking for a fort, then the prison on the northwest side of the map has you covered. The area offers plenty of storage spaces and a fuel station for the vehicles. But since the place sits at the edge of the map, getting to any of the camps and other places will be a long ride.
Power Station | B3 Grid

Advantages:
- Access to major areas
- Near the town
- Fortified Area
- Fewer zombies
- Storage Space
Disadvantages:
- Distance from quest areas and camps
Located right in the middle, next to the town of Hudson. Here, you are getting good fortifications around the buildings, and the area has very few zombies lurking around.
Note: Complete the quest related to the Power Station to gain access to power in the area.

Hudson | C3 Grid

Advantages:
- Looting Areas

- Storage Space
Disadvantages:
- Too many zombies

There are many notable areas where you can set up a base; the storage area and the garage area are the absolute highlights of the town. Build up a CB radio to call in the trader to take the load off.
Other popular Locations in Hudson
- Fire Department next to the garage area
- Gated area south of Hudson.
Mansion | D1 Grid

Advantages:
- Space for building
- Fortified and secluded
- Fancy place
- Few zombies
- Nearby Fuel Station
Disadvantages:
- Bandits
- Distance from major locations.
If you want an off-grid base but the touch of affluence, then look no further than the Mansion in the southwest of the map. The place is a bit far from the quest and main city, but it will serve you well in resources and protection against zombies.
Starting Spawn Area | E4 Grid

Advantages:
- Loot Areas
- Access to Woods
- Trader outside
- Access to water
- Building space
- Few zombies
Disadvantages:
- Far from any quests
- No fuel station nearby
It’s a popular location, as the area has easy access to water, wood, and many lootable spots. Located at the south of the map, the area is massive, and you will also have access to a trader.
Other Popular Locations
Farm Lands
If you want a country vibe to your base, then the farm area will be more to your liking.
A nice little farm land at B4 gives you access to a large area to expand your base. Here, you will deal with low zombie spawns, but the land is far away from the quest areas. On the plus side, the game might spawn a horse in the location for easier travel.
If you are looking for another farm area, then head over to the Farmer City at E1. It has a pretty good fence for protection and access to many points of interest in its vicinity.
Churches
The church at D3 is a better choice than the one on A5; the fence does a good job of protecting from zombies and other invasions.
Errington
Some have found the E3 Errington to be the perfect place to build the base. You will have access to storage lockers and a gun shop nearby for ammo and gun replenishment.
Military Area, near the Airport
Another fantastic place to build the base will be in the military area, located near the Airport at northwest of the map. The area is filled with armed vehicles and lootable spots. But the place is infested with zombies, and some of them are tougher and bigger.
