How to Get an Oil Lamp
Early in the game, your first encounter with an Oil Lamp will be during exploration. You might find an oil lamp or two in locked chests or from enemy drops. Later on, once you have the workbench, you get to craft an oil lamp. To make an oil lamp, you will require:
- 4x Copper ingot
- 1x Rope
Interact with the workbench after that and select the Oil Lamp recipe from the Create section. You will get 1x Oil Lamp from the above materials.
How to Use an Oil Lamp
You get to use the oil lamp as you would any other item in your inventory. When you select the Oil Lamp, your character will hold it out and illuminate the nearby area. You can also place it in your hotbar for easy access. Oil lamps require refueling from time to time.
While checking the oil lamp from your inventory or hotbar, keep an eye on the yellow bar beside it. This meter indicates when you need to refuel. If it is empty, you can refuel the oil lamp at the workbench. Head over there and select the ‘Refill/Repair’ option beside the ‘Create’ option. You will require 3x Animal Fat to fill the oil lamp with fuel.
