Pokémon Pokopia – How to Wake Up Mosslax

By Kirthana KMarch 9, 20264 Mins Read

    Key Points

    • You will first encounter Mosslax as part of the Brighten Things Up request.
    • This request is picked up at Bleak Beach as part of the main storyline.
    • You need to get Mosslax up to 100 Bloom to awaken them.

Each region in Pokémon Pokopia offers questlines to uncover new Pokémon. Once you reach the second region, Bleak Beach, you will be tasked with waking up a sleeping Snorlax covered in moss. This task will send you all around Bleak Beach, trying to light up each and every corner of the region to wake up Mosslax.

    How to Find Mosslax

You will find Mosslax in Bleak Beach, and the easiest way to find them is during the Brighten Things Up request that you will pick up from Trubbish. First, you need to fix the Pokémon Center at Bleak Beach, then speak to Trubbish to help them light up the Harbor Streetlight. Once that request is done, find them near the docks to get another request.

This time, you need to investigate the strange snoring sound southeast of the Pokémon Center. Repair the bridge to get across, then use Rock Smash on the mountain wall. You will find a sleeping Snorlax inside, covered in moss. Speak to Professor Tangrowth to start the Brighten Things Up quest, which will guide you through the steps to wake up Mosslax.

    How to Wake Up Mosslax

You need to gather 100 Bloom to wake up Mosslax. Lighting up the Harbor Streetlight itself will give you 80 Bloom, but you need to power up the rest of the town, too.

Starting the Brighten Things Up Request

Start off by speaking to Meowth outside the cave to get the request to install more lights with the help of Pawmi or Pawmo. Next, build the Resort Meal Prep Habitat for Torchic and the Tropical Seaside for Piplup and ask them to move in. Complete any requests they have in the meantime.

Then, speak to Professor Tangrowth to locate Peakychu, after which you get Peakychu’s request. This requires adding streetlights and utility poles around the area to light up the streets. Continue to add more streetlights around the area until Peakychu moves in next to Mosslax and gives you another request.

    Getting 100 Bloom

Craft a Shell Lamp at the workbench using 1x Shell and 1x Sea Glass Fragments and place it next to Mosslax. Again, use Pawmi or Pawmo to light up the lamp. Next, head over to the windmill to get another request from Peakychu, which requires you to power up the four generators in the area.

You will need the help of Torchic and Piplup for this one. Use their abilities to power up the Windmill, Charging Station, Lighthouse, and the Water Wheel. Keep checking in on Mosslax to know if you have obtained 100 Bloom.

If you have reached 100 Bloom, speak to Mosslax, then climb up the mountain to speak to Raikou after the cutscene. Head back down to speak to Mosslax again to complete the quest.
