True Ending Details
| Ending Type | Good |
| Trigger Requirement | Defeating Aelfric the Flamebringer |
| Final Boss | Or’galdera |
| New Companion Unlock | Sazantos |
Once Sazantos joins your team, you will be ready to takeon the final boss. It is a joint battle, as you can invite your favorite companion to give you a helping hand to overthrow the Or’galdera.
First Step: Beat the game
The very first thing you must do is complete the entire game and defeat the final boss, Or’galdera (Chapter 8: A Journey’s End). Don’t worry about the progression; the game does allow you to traverse back before the final fight for the different endings. When you complete the game for the first time, you will get an ending, but it is not a true ending.
Second Step: Interact with Strange Monument

After beating the game, head back to the Garden of Sin and interact with the Strange Monument in the location. Interacting with the object will take you back before the fight against Orsazantos.
Third Step: Defeat Aelfric the Flamebringer

Now head over to Flamebearer’s Shrine: Sanctum area located in the Frostlands Region, and take part in Aelfric’s Trial. Interact with the blue Flame Pit in the area and accept the trial. Complete the trial by defeating Aelfric the Flamebringer. You may want to get your best gear out for this fight, check our Forbidden weapons guide to see if any of these weapons would be of help here.
Once defeated, you will get a notification stating “The illuminating power of the Flamebringer’s ring has grown stronger.”
Fourth Step: Illuminate the Sazantos Family

Get to the Gate of Orsa located at the Heavens and make your way to the Garden of Sin. Here, examine the Altar of Heavenly Peals.
Interacting with the altar will put you in a snowy area. Keep marching forward to come across a snowy cabin. Get inside, and you will get to meet Sazanto’s family. Now we must use the Illuminate Path Action to illuminate Sazanto’s family members in a proper order.
- First Illumination: Illuminate the baby in the basket. Interact with the baby by the fireplace and use the option Illuminate available on the left panel.
- Second Illumination: Now illuminate the NPC next to the baby, Pharamea. Again, same as the baby, interact with her and select the option Illuminate.
- Third Illumination: Lastly, illuminate the NPC Sazantos on the right, near the bookshelf.
After performing the illumination action, Sazantos will join your party as a companion. That’s it, now you are ready to defeat the final boss to get the true ending.
