Can I do this after finishing the game?

Yes. Code Vein 2 allows you to click ‘Continue’ after you achieve your first ending. You can go back and complete any timeline decisions you have missed, including this one. 

Why can’t I seem to activate Lyle’s Fading Bond?

Make sure that you have Lyle’s Rusted Sword in your inventory. Without it, you won’t be able to go back to the alternate 2182 timeline. I have noticed that many players get stuck because they don’t visit the grave in the Present timeline and miss the rusted sword.

Does saving Lyle change his Blood Code?

Yes. Changing the timeline and saving Lyle enables you to access his unique Gifts and Traits. These will remain unavailable to you if you don’t alter the timeline and he stays in his ‘One-Armed’ form.

Why is the Pioneer Castle gate locked?

The castle gate remains locked if you skip speaking to Craig on the lower level. Take the elevator, go down, talk to Craig, and come back up. Conversing with him is the key factor in transforming Lyle into his final boss form.
