How to solve the Winding Gate puzzle in Keeper

Locate the Winding Gate puzzle room

1. Use Lighthouse’s focused beam of light to open the knotted gate under the Tree Guardian.
2. When the knot burns away, you will find a path to new rooms in the Underground Caves.
3. When you move further up in the tunnel, you will come across a big room, with the pathway behind you sealed shut.
4. At the left side of this giant room adorned with glowing mushrooms, you will find the Winding Gate.
5. The Winding Gate can be identified by its enormous size, presence of three mechanical gears, and a big, blue magical eye.

Find the 2 missing handles

The first handle

1. The first handle is found by going through the opposite direction of the gate.
2. Standing at the entrance of the mushroom-covered room (with Puzzle Gate towards your left), locate the knotted door that leads to another pathway.
3. Use your focused beam of light on the knotted door to open the path.
4. Make your way through vines and marshes to reach a chamber with two further pathways.
5. Take the one on the right side and make your way through the narrow chasm to reach the room with the second knotted door.
6. Shine your light across the room to unlock the second knotted door.
7. Opening the second knotted door will reveal puzzle for first handle.

1. Once the puzzle is unlocked, send your faithful companion, Twig, to get the handle.
2. After you move Twig in clockwise direction, the puzzle will be solved.
3. Twig will grab the handle and bring it back to you.

The second handle

1. Travel back to the chamber with two pathways and take the left one.
2. Travel across the narrow short pathway, breaking vines, to reach the puzzle for second handle.
3. Send out Twig once more to finish the puzzle.
4. After the puzzle is completed, Twig will bring back the second handle.
5. Travel back to the main room with the Puzzle gate.

Solving the puzzle

1. Once you are back in the room with Puzzle Gate, shine your focused beam of light on all three gear wheels one by one.
2. The objective is to move all the gears until the seals are positioned correctly.
3. You can see the expected final position of all three seals in the image below.
4. Essentially, you need to get all the golden points (ones that resemble arrows) of the seals to point in the direction of the magical blue eye.

How can I find all the handles in correct order?

There is no set order to find the missing handles. Once you start your journey through the pathway on the right, you can choose any order (left or right) to acquire handles.

How will I know the correct Winding Gate Puzzle solution?

Once you grab both the handles, come back to the Winding Gate and move the gear wheels in following way:

1. Top Wheel: Roatate this gear in a way that the golden arrow point is facing down to the blue eye.
2. Middle Wheel: Rotate this gear in a way that the tips of the golden flames are facing sideways, towards the blue eye.
3. Bottom Wheel: Rotate this gear in a way that the shiny point of the golden S-shape is pointing up towards the blue eye.

Note: If confused, pay close attention to the movement of the gears. Once you are nearing the correct position, the gear wheels will move at a noticably slower rate.
