By Santosh PandaFebruary 4, 20263 Mins Read
    • R.I.P. features five unique characters, each with their own distinct appearance and gameplay features.
    • Two out of five characters are unlocked by default, but the rest require completion of certain tasks.
    • You will encounter different weapons and armor on each character, making them feel different in gameplay.

The five unique characters in R.I.P. – Reincarnation Insurance Program each come with their own set of advantages and disadvantages that you must walk through to get the best out of the gameplay.

Each also has its own skill tree to make them play better on the battlefield. It requires a sizeable time investment to master each character to dominate the battlefield.

How To Unlock all Characters in R.I.P.

RIP Skill or Ability Tree for Character Selection

    Philomel

She will be the default character and armed with an SMG. You will not need to complete any heavy-handed tasks to unlock her.

    Claire

Claire is also a default unlock, same as Philomel, with a trusty shotgun by her side to blow zombies off.

    Mors

Unlocking Mors requires completing the Desert area, which unlocks after beating Swamp, at Risk Level 2. So you must finish the Desert area with Claire or Philomel on Risk Level 1 and then beat it again on Risk Level 2 to unlock Mors.

    Weapon of Choice: Rocket Launcher

    Katerina

Katerina needs to complete the Frostfield area on Risk Level 3 to unlock. Just pick any character that you are comfortable with and beat this area twice to play it on Risk Level 3.

    Weapon of Choice: Sniper Rifle

    Luna

Lastly, Luna needs to complete any area on Risk Level 4. You can just grind the first area, the Swamp on Risk Level 4, with any character to unlock Luna directly.

    Weapon of Choice: Bow

    FAQs

Does each character have their own skill tree?

Yes, you must level up each and every character to make them better in the gameplay. The progression of one skill tree doesn’t carry over to other characters.

Can weapons be swapped between characters?

No, each character has their own type of gun they choose to take to the battlefield. Do note that you might obtain a sniper rifle while playing as a Mors or Luna, or any other character, but you will not be able to equip the weapon unless you are playing as Katerina.

The rule applies to all weapons and characters; each character in RIP will only use the weapon they are assigned to by the game, instead of being decided by the player.

Which character is the hardest to unlock?

It will be Luna; unlocking her requires you to complete any area on Risk Level 4. Just choose the Swamp area and beat it 4 times with Philomel or Claire.
